This syllabus is designed to help students gain an understanding of the fundamentals of
Introduction to Information Systems Audit. Upon completion, students will be able to describe
the role and responsibilities of the Introduction to Information Systems Audit professional;
identify areas where Introduction to Information Systems Audit is applicable; list key
components necessary for a successful audit; understand the process and procedures associated
with conducting an IS audit; identify performance measurements; and develop recommendations
to improve security posture.
