Attack on the Bench

About Course
Judge Adwoa Saah gazed out the window, her hands cradling her
swollen belly. She was eight months pregnant, but duty called. In the
courtroom, the air was thick with tension.
Suddenly, shouts echoed outside. The doors burst open, and a sea of
red, white, and blue flooded in. NPP Party activists, recognizable by their
party colours, overwhelmed the courtroom.
“Justice will not be served today!” one shouted.
Adwoa’s heart racing, she pounded her gavel. “Order! This is a court of
law!”
But the mob ignored her. They chanted slogans, waved flags, and
intimidated the courtroom staff.
A young activist, Emmanuel, approached the bench, his eyes locked on
Adwoa. “You’re biased!” he spat. “Ruling in Favor of the NDC!”
Adwoa stood firm, despite her fear. “I uphold the law, not party lines.”
The chaos escalated. Papers flew, chairs scraped, and panic spread.
During the chaos, Adwoa felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. Her baby
kicked, as if sensing her mother’s distress. The activists had one goal:
disrupt justice.
And they succeeded. The courtroom emptied, the activists dispersed,
and Adwoa was left shaken.
