Ghana, like many developing countries, faces a pressing challenge: the
mismatch between its education system and the needs of its
employment market. Despite significant investments in education, many
Ghanaian youth struggle to find meaningful employment, while
employers lament the lack of skilled and competent workers. This
disconnect has far-reaching consequences, including high
unemployment rates, economic stagnation, and wasted potential.
This book, “Bridging the Gap: Education and Employment in Ghana,”
seeks to understand the root causes of this mismatch and propose
solutions to address it. Through a comprehensive analysis of Ghana’s
education system, labor market, and economic context, we identify key
