Forklift Operation and Safety Maintenance is a comprehensive training course
designed to educate students on the proper operation and safety maintenance of
industrial forklifts. This course will cover topics such as regulations, accident
prevention techniques, pre-operation checks and maintenance procedures. Trainees
will learn how to safely operate forklifts in accordance with OSHA requirements,
identify potential hazards associated with forklift operations, perform pre-operation
inspections, understand diesel engine operation principles, manage spare parts
inventory control systems, understand the function and purpose of logging devices,
practice safe refuelling methods, understand load chart calculations and be familiar
with various load handling accessories. The final portion of the course is devoted to
safety maintenance considerations such as lubrication specifications for hydraulic
systems, adjusting seating positions for improved ergonomics and other preventative
maintenance checks. Upon successful completion of this training course syllabus
participants will receive a certificate recognizing their knowledge in Forklift Operation
and Safety Maintenance.
